Radient is a small team in Toronto. We make one prepaid balance and one key for models, media and audio, and we publish what it costs.
Thesis
What we think is coming
Agents are moving onto people's own devices. When they do, the software running them will not be one vendor's model behind one vendor's subscription. It will be dozens of models and tools chosen per step, and something has to meter that.
That is the part we build. A prepaid balance, one key, honest per request accounting, and a router that selects the model that serves each request. It is unglamorous work and it is what makes the rest possible.
We think metered access beats subscriptions for model usage, because agent workloads are spiky. You should not pay a monthly tier for a month you did not ship in, and you should not lose a balance because a month ended.
- Publish the arithmetic
- Our fees are on the pricing page as numbers, including the part where going direct is cheaper. Every request is recorded with the model identifier that served it and what it cost.
- No markup on usage
- Credits deduct 1:1 against provider cost. We make money on the top-up fee, not on your tokens, so we have no reason to route you to an expensive model.
- Nothing lapses
- No subscription on pay-as-you-go, no expiring credits. Stop using Radient and your balance is still there.
Open source
Local Operator is open source
Local Operator is our desktop agent platform, licensed MIT, with source and releases on GitHub. Agents run on your device, they coordinate over the Local Operator agent-to-agent protocol, and they can bill through Radient Pass in two clicks. It is also how we test our own routing: if auto picks badly, we feel it first.
Team
Who we are
Radient Inc. is based in Toronto. Damian Tran is co-founder and CEO. The team's background is machine learning research, platforms at consumer scale, and engineering inside regulated financial systems, which is where several of us learned what an auditable ledger is worth.
We are small. Support email is answered by the people who wrote the code. If you find a defect in our billing arithmetic, you will be talking to whoever can fix it.

Start with a Radient account
Eligible new accounts can claim free credit, when available, after email verification and a security check. No card needed. These checks are for the credit claim, not account access. The docs and pricing are public if you want to read them first.
